A Serenada – The tradition of a property that has remained in the same family for more than three centuries translates into the boutique spirit with which wine is made and guests welcome.
Just 13 km from the Alentejo coast, in the middle of the Grândola mountain range, the Mediterranean landscape of vineyards, olive groves and cork oak trees with sea in the background frames the house.
At night, the light of the Cape Espichel lighthouse sets the tone of time …
The property, which produces the wines of the Serras de Grândola, has a 50 year old vineyard planted in 1961 and a new vineyard in 2008.
The vineyards are situated about 10 km from the seafront, between the beach of Aberta Nova and the beach of Galé, suffering the influence of the Atlantic breezes. In addition, they are at 150 m of altitude, in the western slope of the Grândola Mountain range, which provides the nocturnal freshness necessary for an adequate maturation. The great minerality of the soils, with predominance of iron and schist complement the particularity of the location.
The wines are produced in the cellar of the house with the collaboration of the whole family.
The Soils are poor in organic matter with great predominance of Iron.
