Situated in the Algarve Sotavento, the Quinta da Ria resort includes two of the region's best-known 18-hole golf courses - Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima, both with unforgettable walks. The resort offers two challenging courses in an unparalleled landscape. Situated just one hour from Faro International Airport, both golf courses are perfectly integrated into the Ria Formosa Natural Park which is one of the most important ecosystems of the Algarve, where many species of fauna and flora live. When designing the course Quinta da Ria, the architect Rocky Rocquemore, knew how to preserve the natural habitat by taking advantage of the existing natural landscape, which has already been described by many golfers as one of the most beautiful in the region. The view over the sea and the sand to the south and the mountain view to the north, make Quinta da Ria a real paradise for golfers. Along the 18 holes we find five large lakes, which serve as habitat for a wide variety of fauna species and are also an important resource for field watering. The innumerable carob trees, olive trees and existing almond trees contribute to the balance of the ecosystem. Next to Quinta da Ria you will find the Quinta de Cima golf course, which is distinguished by its generous fairways, the numerous bunkers around the greens and along the fairways and the stream that crosses a large of the holes, which on the whole are a real test of the skill of most players. The water obstacles and the long fairways require a good selection of golf clubs, even for the more experienced players.
